- The San Francisco Working Families Credit (WFC)
-
Each tax season, when you file for the EITC, apply for the San Francisco Working Families Credit: it gives a $100 bonus to low-income working families and connects you with a wide range of other resources, benefits and discounts. It’s simple:
When you file your federal income taxes, ask your tax preparer about the WFC.
Download an application at www.workingfamiliescredit.org
Pick up your WFC application at City Hall, free tax preparation sites or H&R Block offices. For locations call (415) 557-6284.
Mail your complete WFC application to the address on the form. Or, bring it to the City Treasurer’s Office in City Hall, Room 140, your local H&R Block office, or any free tax preparation site.
- The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
-
The EITC gives working families a federal tax credit of up to $4,500. Apply when you file your federal income taxes on or before April 15 each year. Tell your tax preparer to make sure you get the EITC.
