Workers with higher levels of education and skills experience more economic success than their counterparts with little or no post-secondary education. However, low-wage and entry-tier workers often lack access to the resources that would enable them to build their careers and jumpstart their move towards long-term self-sufficiency and wealth-building.
SF Works promotes investment in skill-building for incumbent workers, reform of the financial aid eligibility rules, and policies that engage employers in supporting the ongoing educational and skill development of their workforce.
