Aggregated Benefits
SF Works develops packages that enable local small- and mid-sized businesses to offer benefits to their employees that they might not otherwise be able to afford. Leveraging the power of a large group of businesses, SF Works has developed a health insurance offering in collaboration with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
Future aggregated benefits in development include prepaid legal services, tuition assistance and management programs, and employee assistance plans (EAPs).
The Chamber Health Advantage Membership Program (CHAMP)
SF Works has partnered with the Chamber of Commerce to create an aggregated, affordable benefits program for local small- and mid-sized employers. The Chamber Health Advantage Membership Program offers personalized service, access to all California health insurance plans, and cost savings on related products, such as premium-only Section 125 plans. CHAMP also includes a novel product offering that combines high-deductible health insurance with third party administration, allowing some businesses to actually cut health insurance costs by as much as 30%. The plan enables employers to self-fund a portion of health care costs, but limits their risks – making it possible for participating companies to expand the benefits available to their employees.
